FAB wild camping weekend

Jump to newest

By *it of fun cpl OP   Couple

village between York and Hull

We are hosting A Wild Camping weekend in the Peak District.

Friday 3rd Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th September.

Price is £50 per person for the whole weekend. There is a £10 per person early bird discount.

Open to Tents, Caravans, Motorhomes.

The aim is to have a gathering of like minded people in a large open field in the Beautiful Peak District, to relax, socialize and meet new friends. Anything more than that is up to individuals. This event is not at a campsite just a nice secluded flat piece of land that does hold other events throughout the year.

It is not a festival and there will be no electric or water hook up. No Marquees, Acts, or disco. There will be a water point on site and we will have Music on Saturday night at the organizers vehicle where we will also have a BBQ to create a central point.

This is classed as a wild camping event as there will be limited basic facilities. We are limiting it to 150 people maximum. Tickets are for the whole 3 days, no single day tickets. Only people that are staying on site will be admitted. So no booking a B&B down the road then coming along in the evening.

There will be a limited number of singles, male and female and those that apply must have verifications on Fabs. There are no limits on sexual orientation or race, it is open to everyone from all walks of life.

It will be a ticket only event. There will be site security and the gates will only be open between specific times. Single male tickets will be on a ratio of couples and single ladies attending and will not be available until the end of July.

As we are trying to keep costs to a minimum there will be a portable toilet block, limited showers and a limited supply of water. As we said this is wild camping not a full flung luxury festival. This will be an LBGTQ friendly event and all races and sexual orientation welcome.

If want to have a chilled out social weekend with likeminded people feel free to get in touch.

"One thing strikes me is just strange with this event I always thought wild camping was meant to be free"

True wild camping which I have done, as you will know is without any facilities, away from civilisation and in the wilderness is often confused with a camping weekend with minimal facilities in a farmers field. However. The planners of this event ( and for which we are grateful ) May have marketed this as “wild” to deter those who may expect full on 5 star campsite facilities such as games rooms, restaurants and swimming pools.

No definitely and credit to the organisers these things aren’t easy to put on and it’s a good idea for people to be prepared for the worst and then be pleasantly surprised my comment was only a funny one not a criticism also I’m considering going to the event myself as it sounds like it’s going to be a lot of fun

Short skirts here or short dresses, with no knickers lol. If it’s cold then sorry boys but I’ll have my fluffy tracksuit on. All easy to remove for a quick play in the tent. Let’s face it no one goes camping and wears basques and stockings and heels all day. Do they?

I would imagine it's like everywhere on fab people set their own boundaries. Good communication is the only way to play.Thats why this is such a good environment as you get to spend time getting to know people with no expectations or pressures.
