Near Marlborough

A more general question about this site. I’m meeting up with a dear friend at some point soon. I’m south. He’s north and this place could be a pretty good middle point. We tent camp (in style) but are not naturists (actually I’m quite body conscious but comfy wearing a little). Are the people that run it on here? If not I can mail them but interested in your experiences. We’d be going to spend time with each other and perhaps share a beer or two with likeminded people. We would not be interested in hooking up. More just being in a free environment to spend a weekend under canvas. Maybe I’m not allowed to ask. Sorry mods if I’m not it’s an innocent error. Eeeeek.

For those interested in Freedom for All Camping near Doncaster then I did spend a night here on Monday. Hosts and other campers were really friendly and approachable and although it was very quiet being Monday I think it is safe to say a very relaxed atmosphere.

A very large flat open field perfect for camping with some electric hookups. Other field gave more electric hookups but better suited to caravans or campervan as wasnt that flat.

Toilets and showers very clean. I loved being able to take a showever without juggling clothes in the shower and trying not to get them wet!

Uber quiet and peaceful too and far enough out of way not to get meerkats etc found at beaches.

Would look forward to a lively weekend at some point when I have time. Only word of advice, take insect repellant. I've got a out 10 bites today

hi peeps,i can tell you this camp hasnt shut down and that im in contact with the owners most days,ive been told to pass on that the reason for the facebook post is because the camp needs some maintenance work on the toilet waste side and thought it wouldnt be fare for people to be camping near while work is being carried out,hope this helps and the camp will be back running when the work is finished.

Freedom for all camping have now change there closure statement on their on Facebook to this so fingers crossed and let’s hope they get planning permission

We are still open for camping but as we need to get some retrospect planning sorted, tents are still fine to come to us, and up to five vans until this planning is sorted out, we are running on the 56 day licence for tents, I have been misled by the council, which is now being dealt with, I am very sorry for this confusion

The council closed them down last week ,I think it was due to the Swinging Festival they held a couple of weeks ago without a proper licence(we were there and the place was absolutely rammed full) the owner said the village and the council have been trying to close them for some time,although the FB page says "permanently closed" it also says open for tents only..not sure which it is and I can't get through to the owners as we would like to go again while we still have the weather

They still open guys. Spoke with owner just the other day to book a few dates in and going next weekend ourselfs and week after as holding a camp there but they are definitely open.
