We will be attending whitby steampunk weekend in July in our campervan.

We are looking for site recommendations within walking distance of the town centre or on a good direct bus route into it.TIA.

There's a campsite up near the Abbey, or there is a small site just near the bottom of the hill as you drive down from the Abbey. Failing that there are a few that are a bit further out of town, one up by the park and ride, and one at Ruswarp.

We go to WGW in our 'stealth' camper..

Over the years the council have clamped down on overnights in their carparks..

However, the last time we stayed at the leisure centre without issue..

Looking at accommodation costs for this year's WGW it would be cheaper to actually pay parking fines than the outrageous prices being asked.

Hi, hope you are both well, are you planning on going to October's wgw then? Been a few years since we've seen you there.

hi

The last time was Oct 19 (I think)... It was grim (weather) so we bailed from the Little A and drove to Chams for the rest of the weekend lol.

This Oct yes, hopefully... Lots of peeps to say hi to eh.

But will stay in the van

Good to see fellow swingers going again this year. As usual, we'll be staying in a b&b, as we take too many outfits to fit in the car with a tent, but we'll see you all there (we have had guests in our room previously too)

That's good then, we'll look out for you.

We're going to be there in a couple of weeks, what should be wgw, nothing going on and most of the pubs closed but it's a break, and we'll only loose the money we paid out for the cottage as its already been rolled over from last April...
