We had planned to do the North Coast 500 this month in our motorhome, but had to cancel for obvious reasons. We are now looking to venture out closer to home in Pembrokeshire when to isolation is lifted. Any suggestions of sites would be gratefully appreciated - Happy Camping xxx

We can’t wait to get our caravan out. Love being naked in the van and awning when we are in our caravan.

We have used the motorhome to go to the supermarket and that short drive to exercise in the past month. Other than that we were fortunate enough to spend a long weekend away just before lockdown, having said that as we approach the may bank holiday weekend the grand total sum of nights away this year is only 6. Hopefully we will get a few more in before the summer ends just got to stay positive

I think for the rest of the year there will be a NEW NORMAL.

August - maybe sites will be open but only if the owners of the site can control social distancing on the site. Sort of spoils the idea of playing but it will get the wheels turning on the caravans & campers.

6 nights more than us then !

We were going to be in Bridlington for the beach sand racing this weekend. By the looks of the weather forecast the cancellation is good news !

Was that event at South shore holiday park?

Yes the weather looks more mid winter than May especially on Sunday

The event was on the main beach near the chalets. Looked good fun. Ah well, next year then.

Highland

Well please anyone thinking of it dont come to the highlands of scotland because the virus only just starting to come here and most of the highlands campsites, laybys and villages are closed off or have very unwelcoming signs up due to the amount of tourists coming here to think that it's safe for them

We are also hoping to get away soon in our caravan. We were originally going to Spain in August but have decided to cancel that. And looking at Cornwall instead. Social distancing will still be in place I would imagine and site rules themselve sort of already implement this meaning that units need to be 6 metres apart due to fire regulations on most sites and most people are now self sufficient in there own vans with how modern vans and motor homes have become so aslong as people are vigilant and site owners arnt greedy by packing there sites full to the gunnels it good work aslong as we all stay alert. Fingers crossed that at some point of 2020 we can all get back to a little bit of normality.
