I brought a bike now 4 years ago as a project build was I the idiot. long story short. had lots of work done on it. it got lost for two years. and now I'm just trying to get it to start. So miss riding. I feel like the bike is cursed and I can't afford to have any more work done on it now

feeling fed up.

A box at end of your bed

Don't give up on it. It took me 5 years to totally rebuild my 1967 triumph. I got it back on the road this summer only to have it seize up a month later. Now have to rebuild engine all over again because of dodgy oil pump.

If you enjoy doing the work on it don't worry how long it takes just get the parts as you can afford to. But if you don't or have lost all interest in it sell it on and get a working machine.

Welcome to the world of d*unken eBay purchasing.

Don’t be disheartened sometimes it takes time to do it right.

I’ve got a KR1S in boxes and I don’t have the time to do anything with it.

What king of bike is it and what you needing help with?

Could be a carb issue if it’s lumpy.

What’s the fuel and filter like?

Totally agree, I'd be looking at the carb, might be something as simple as stale fuel

It is complete. I’ve got a ZXR400 front end for it also.

The bottom end will need done as I’ve had the barrels off and there is play on the big ends.

Gearbox worked before I stripped it.

Carbs need cleaned and overhauling.

The original fairing (black and green) is all there just very tatty and scratched. The tank now has a dent in it after my son dropped his bike on it.

Headers were rotten so binned them, end cans are fairly dented. The frame and swing arm are straight (I think) with just paint corrosion. Rear shock is there could probably to with a year down and reseal.

All electrics and the loom are there. It’s been hacked into at some point in its life probably to fit an alarm.

I bought it in boxes and am still not 100% I want to sell it. Every time I go to the Jap motorcycle shows there will be one there and it rekindles my passion to build it again.

Mrs would sell it to you for a fiver lol
