Fire at Jerze all 18 bikes and all the teams tools and race kit destroyed in a fire!

Yeah, read about this last night - such a shame for everyone involved, but a relief nobody got hurt.

I am very interested in seeing more growth in e-racing - and getting an electric bike myself

Not good

But firmly believe greater control and understanding of battery and electric vehicles need to brought in because the fire risk from shorting batteries or exploding cells is now a very realistic risk with all the hybrids/battery powered vehicles etc on road and track. If I was involved in accident involving an electric vehicle I wouldn't know how to make it safe etc, and the current the battery cells can provide is massive, not to mention if any chemicals were leaking from them too?

Yes saw that. Not a good start at all. As you saying your other post electric/hybrid vehicles need special training
