Newcastle

yes, very much so. Usually over 50 bikes there, have often seen more than 100 in peak season. They arrive in both directions, - from the West....Penrith /M6, and from the East, Newcastle / Durham. There were 40 - 50 bikes there yesterday.......even though most ppl know it has burnt down.

We were absolutely gutted when we heard about it burning down. We live in Kent and done a road trip 2 years ago taking in The Lake District and then on to the Hartside Cafe as it’s the highest cafe in England and populate bike meet. Was the ideal place for me to get down on one knee and propose to my now wife, Dee.

It's a cracking ride up that road but think I have only done it once where I haven't seen an accident on that road... or been the accident lol

Newcastle

Passed Hartside on route thru the Dales, Sat 30th June, nothing happening on the building. Stopped for chat as usual, about 30 bikers there at mid day. Massive music festival and Scooter Ralley in Stanhope.

Thanks for the update. Hope it is rebuilt. It’s definitely a popular stopping/meeting point.
