VFR 800. It's a really lovely bike. I forget the year but it's the last model pre Vtec. You have to watch the speedo. It's really confidence inspiring to ride. I prefer an un-faired bike but have been told they look rubbish street-fightered.

A Ducati 1098s on an 08 plate. This one is the second i've had, some scrote nicked the first one about 4 years ago.

This one though came with a full race Termi system, my old one just had the Termi end cans.

Had the engine mapped on the Dyno At Richards in Bristol (Ducati owners will know who that is). Two things came out of that mapping, first was it's now a doddle to ride around towns at low speed. The second is it's mind boggling acceleration Even if i get the V4 latter this year, i'll still keep the 1098s.

Got two bikes here.

Yamaha XJR 1300 2005 (my everyday bike). It has the carbs done and exhaust changed so it's pushing 125 bhp instead of its standard 105. The thing is just a beast and I keep up with my mates inbthe twist even tho it's lump.

My other bike is a 1995 triumph tiger with a big problem that o can't slove and don't really want to. So it's getting the full works done to it, different engine and forks. Single sided swinging arm as well.

I can do about 2 hours max on the 996 then I'm crippled.

But by god is it a fun two hours.

The big Z is proving to be nearly indistructable.

It gets used in all weather's and refuses to quit.

Over the roundabout and then turn right.

My old steed was a k1100. After being rear ended I was not allowed another bike. That didn't stop me though. I have a less powerful machine now. Honda Deauville. Not the fastest or sportiest but it gets the job done nicely

Love my new un-modified street Z1000SE. Dry weather rider in UK, so not many miles. I hire superbikes by the day when working in Thailand, Blade, GSXR, Z1000, Monster etc for £20 / day. Toured India on Royal Enfield 500 Bullet, just back from 2 week tour of Cambodia on BMW F800GS, that was the best tour ever.

"I've heard it's the vibrations."

My Mrs sat on the little desmo when it was running, she said she could never ride it as it would probably make her cum. I have a video of her face the first time she revved it

There is a "couple" that i meet regularly and she is dying for her husband to take some pics of her sat on my 1098s, so am i as it happens . The thing is though, i 'd love to start it up with her sat on it. The problem would be that the garage door would have to open.............otherwise we'd all be dead in a few mins

Sure the neighbours wouldn't mind that view. Or you could just open the door ajar with exhaust sticking towards the cocked up door, sorry couldn't resist

We are moving back to the UK mid June and Cadwell park is only five minutes away.

Obviously my brian is working overtime with daft ideas but I would really like to start racing.

Amateur level obviously but just want to know what's required.

I don't have an ACU licence however I've been on track days at Knockhill and Circuit De Mallorca.

I have a ZXR750 which I could use but not sure if there is an evo class.

To race youll need your ACU licence. You knew that tho

Speak to your local race club. They might run Licence days in tandom with a weekend meet.

Thatll get your licence n maybe entrance into the Sunday racing.

Youll need dog tags and of course the usual standard kit for racing in. One piece suit etc

Heaps of spares of everything, suit helmet , gloves , boots etc and wets on wheels would be handy for the UK weather

You dont want to not be able to race cos of rain n youve no wets or youve no spare kit to wear after your of.

Its expensive so budget accordingly

But enjoy it.

It was the Best 10 years of my life almost

Use super unleaded for the extra boost

I nearly got a TDM before I chose the cheaper option in the tiger (big mistake getting that). My XJR is never leaving me it's the best I've had and I have had quite a few (unless someone wants to swap a RD35LC or kettle GT750 )

All of the above

If you are planning on racing, rather than just track days, then a decent van comes into the list of needs as well. I used to race and even on track days no way could it be done sensibly without a van.

Noooooooooo lol. It was the one and only bike I have ever bought brand new. The value has increased significantly. Mine has only done 6400 miles.

I bought it when I was in the army and the majority of the time it was garaged at my parents.

Would never buy a new bike again.

What I like about bike and bikers - It is not my bike is bigger than your bike. It's a mutual appreciation for something, whatever shape and style that brings joy to the individual . There really is something for everyone. And we all know that we are part of an exclusive club, that anyone can join - Inclusion not exclusion

The other is a Suzuki Sv650s which is just being prepped for selling.

Yet another bandit owner, popular bikes for some reason!!!! Do you ride this side of the river much??

No, it's rare I get over that way. There's loads of fun riding on the Lincolnshire roads literally almost on our doorstep.

Presently I have an XV1100, she’s old but wifey loves the vibrations and the American exhaust, (loud) .

I still have fond memories of my first (big) bike . A VT500e with the ugliest full fairing ever.

Why do Harley owners always talk about reliability? It's not something us Honda guts ever have to think about

Just back this morning from a 580 mile weekend round trip at a bikers event ... about 650 campers and then as many if not more day visitors. Only stopped for fuel and dublin ferry. I could sing my praises for this bike that does nothing poorly, most things well and the important things brilliantly. Easily and heavily modified. Easy and cheap to repair if it does need repairing. 56,000 miles with only oil and filter changes, replace spark plugs once, and 2 sets of tyres in my 29,000 miles use since buying her in 2009. At purchase I changed the oil pump to the upgraded oem product and bought a spare rectifier which is still unused. Not my only means of bike transport with a few others on the road too but this is my go- to bike everytime to the disappointment of my BMW which I sold last year through lack of use not that it was a great bike.... it just didn't have any character, no excitement. So I put forward my Honda RD07 2001 model of the infamous ultra reliable go anywhere bike. One of the few semi modern bikes that increase in value. Not a bike I'll ever consider selling while I can ride it.
