"Try some easy start spray ,check for spark " god no! .... you're engine will become addicted. spray fuel into the bellmouth of the carb instead .... but the op says it ain't cranking now so not fuel. OP, have you tried to crank the starter with it removed? does it spin? | |||

"Should the starter spin freely when not on the bike ?" yes it should and it should get the solenoid to kick the drive sprocket over. check the teeth on the drive sprocket to see if any are chipped and see if the bearing has collapsed. have you tried to bump start it? | |||
