It seems now the adventure style bikes are taking over.

I have had a ride on one but not convinced its for me, yet to hear the folk who ride them its like I am mad for not to wanting one.

I am a big VFR fan e.g. 800 and 1200 but also own a 2020 rsv4 1100 when I want some speed.

Are the adventure bikes all they are made out to be or is it just a trend.

i have both styles and enjoy them for different things ...

vfr for when angels with me and the multistrada when am on ma tod.

althopugh i havent went adventure off roading yet...

I also have both styles and a long history of sports bikes.

I tried a triumph explorer in 2014 and it was great, I also had a blade and zx9r for the track at the time and I was hooked, bought it and now on my second BMW GSA, I still have a Blackbird too.

In a nutshell are they all they’re cracked up to be.. for me an absolute yes but we all like different things so maybe not for everyone.

I was lookung at an africa twin, triumph tiger, but somehow ended up with a VFR800.

Horses for courses it’s what do you want it for

Not great for track days but fun

But if you like a bike that can munch the miles and the next day go green laneing or even a little more advanced off road there a bike for you

Saying that even adventure bikes are becoming more specialised

Ie a ktm 890 will tour but it’s far more off road focused

As mentioned and bikers being bikers

More bikes is always the way forward
