West Sussex and Powys

Hi all, this seemed like a sensible place to ask my silly question!

Have held a full UK driving license since 1992, I once did a CBT course but this was well over two years ago. Family commitments at that time just meant a bike was out of the question.

I am now at a place where I can start exploring this idea again and have been trying to work out the route to a motorcycle license and, I have to say, I am rather confused by all the module 1s and 2s and A12 and 2s etc.

Can anyone put it into plain English for me please?

Many thanks

Aberdeen

Mod 1 is your manouvers around a car park. Figure of 8, turn in road, hazard avoidance ect.

Mod 2 is on the road, proving you are safe.

Don't forget there will be a written test to do as well

Go for a direct access test. Did mine a couple of years ago, i dont think much has changed since..

You will have to-

Re take your cbt on a 125

Theory (you have to book your self)

Conversion hour (step upto bigger bike)

Mod 1 training and test

Mod 2 training and test - levels of training vary on how well you do basicaly

Some places do packages and can get quite alot done in a short time frame.

Unless its all changed since i did mine

Id also say its pointless geting a 125 when done cbt as you might aswell wait and just get the big bike that your wanting when sat full test

But thats just my opinion
