Motorcycle action group on YouTube suggesting that 2030 will be the ban date for new petrol motorcycles of all capacity. From then zero emission at tailpipe aka electric powered

Labour have committed to 2030 if they are voted in

Hoping we will still be allowed to ride petrol machines without punitive road tax which has also been hinted at.

I think what will become the deciding factor is the cost of fuel as demand falls with the increased take up of electric models.

My feeling is the EV cars and bike will fizzel out by then, hydrogen fuel cells will be in.

my reasoning for this is city and guilds who are very slow in changing, its only in the last year they have included anything on EVs or Hibrids in the courses, and look how long they have been on the road, next year it looks like there will be Hydrogen cell stuff in them next year!

2030, not a chance. The industry at the moment is clearly saying they can't get the range needed for the bikes customers are demanding. Low power city scoots can do the distance, top end sports bike have the performance but not the range. There is nothing on the middle as the technology just does not exist at the moment.

wonderland.

It will be expanded the same as it has with cars.

Noticed Anglesey track has banned all electric and hybrid vehicles from track days too

Also, just check the sales data, sales have dropped drastically. Also, what will happen to all the petrol? By-products tend to be sold off cheap. Looks like the ice bikes will still be going strong in 2030.
