For me it’s The Kawasaki Z1 is a four-cylinder, air-cooled, double-overhead camshaft, carbureted, chain-drive motorcycle introduced in 1972 and yes that was the bike the used in CHIPs

Dependent on the use it is needed for. I'd love an aspencade. But couldn't imagine going round a track on it. Or using it for short town trips.

The Suzuki RG500. A totally nuts bike that has a two stroke power band, skinny tyres and brings a smile to your face when you get off at the end of a ride.

This is the correct answer, although the engine in the 748 is nicer and improves the experience...

Gpz900. 1984

A lot went before that

Z1, Z1B, Z1R, Gpz1100, z1300

Katana 1000/1100

Cb750/900, CBX 1000

Laverda Jota

XJ900

Various Bimota, Moto martin, sponson, Harris

And RD500 smokes all of above by some margin

People just don't realise how good they are !

Better than the suzuki that took the title away for fastest bike by 1mph although the Blackbird topped out first, handles better more comfortable etc (personal opinion dont come for me)

I have to agree that first bike is the one that sticks and yep it was an old gp100.

Was away from bikes for many years but had numerous trial bikes as a kid then

ZXR 400 - could not fit it but wow it was crazy

RF600 - Very 80s styling heavy but munched the miles

10 year break

SV650s original carb version great fun and did almost everything.

10 year break

Son got his 125 I picked up an old Fazer 600 - I was not that into it at the time my mistake it's awesome fun and genuine all rounder and cheap as chips

FS1E, (fizzy) my first bike, it gave freedom beyond getting the bus everywhere.. wish I still had it for nostalgia rather than riding it.

Many bikes followed but the fizzy was something special to a spotty faced teen back then.
