Beds/Bucks/Northants

Has anyone done this on a bike. I’m going next year on my Triumph Toger and will probably be wild camping along the way and maybe a few night at sites where I can use their facilities. Any recommendations of what to do?

I’ll be traveling from very down south.

I done it years ago, you will find the east side abit boring, just have plenty time for the west side and don't miss applecross, just go explore, it will be worth it

Did it a few months ago with a group of biker m8s, stayed in cheap bunkhouses and youth hostels, started in Inverness, and ended in Fort Augustus, fantastic scenery and a brilliant ride, make sure you have some good waterproof clothing , well worth doing.

I’m going to do it in the summer on the bike.

In the mean time, I’m doing it in a few weeks in the Land Rover, I’ll report back.

44 teeth on YouTube did it a few weeks back and they commented ted a few times about the cost of dining establishments and accommodation a long the route. Think one of them was on a tiger and sang the praises

They were both on Ducati’s, they used the desert X and the new multistrada

Near Abercynon

Quite keen but sort of put off by how popular it seems. We rode the "Northumberland 250" which was great, you get a proper paper map and a list of sights that might be interesting along the route.

I’m going to June time.

Stay with family near Glasgow on day 1 and then I’ll

Be wild camping the rest of it with maybe a few campsites.

Done it last year on z900rs mate was on a tiger

Pre booked accommodation w

Absolutely fantastic ride do it anti clockwise for the best scenery and go off piste a bit to see a bit more

We was very lucky with the weather in fact it was too hot if anything lol

Food along the way expensive? I didn't think it was anymore expensive than anywhere else in the country tbh

Fantastic route with fantastic roads and fantastic scenery

Go through the Cairngorms on the way to Inverness. It would be a waste not to. Maybe even Yorkshire Dales, Penines and Scottish Borders on the way. Maybe Forest of Bowland on the

way back. The NC500 part takes care of itself.

I wished I'd spent longer in the Cairngorms.

Also, consider a detour to Skye if you've time.

Not NC500 but I really enjoyed riding from Fort William down to Ballachulish and Loch Lomond and the Trossachs.

I agree! Loved the NC500 all the times I've been but Cairngorm is something else!! You do it once and want to turn around and go back and do it again haha

I would do it clockwise. Spend more time on west side, more to see. I've done Scotland 4 times now always something different to see. Enjoy
