Sad state of affairs atm at home with road and track racing. I haven't heard much recently what's going on. One min it's cancelled next is could be on. Currently home in Ireland atm and had this discussion with mates and they're none the wiser either. Doesn't help that the government aren't sitting here either.

Local council has allocated 100k to the NW200 and a further 15k to Armoy, still does not fix the insurance situation though.Only 93k raised so far to sort the insurance .

Here's a turn up for the books and great news.....

Motorcycle racing in Northern Ireland will now go ahead this year, after a new insurance quote has been secured.

That's the latest from the Motor Cycle Union of Ireland (MCUI) in a letter from the organisation's chairman, John Dillon

So I’ve still got a three bedroom house booked for the NW200 but everyone else has backed out

It’s next to Lidl on the metropole straight in Portrush

Three double bedrooms

2 sitting rooms one of which has a comfy sofa so I’ve been told

If anyones interested message me

Deposit has already been paid and will be lost if I can’t fill it

8th - 14th may £850 for the week

There are camp sites on circuit, you could always bring a tent and camp for the couple of nights

You obviously picked a bad one. There are pop up sites on football and rugby clubs that have great facilities rather than the pop up farmers fields. We used to camp for many years on one of the sports fields and never had a problem

Never been to any Irish road racing. Not enough pennies for everything we would like to do in any given year

Yeap I camped at the TT and the 1st time was an awful experience, stayed in Nobles which was a green area that used to be used for camping at the back of the paddoc (no longer used for camping). It was on a hill which was no fun trying to sleep on, my choice of tent proved very bad as it rained most of that week and I was wet and cold all the time and there were no facilities....I learned from that and never had a bad experience camping at the TT since due to being more prepared and staying at a propper camp site with facilities, Glenlough is the campsite
