I've got gear gremlin kits that I keep on my bikes, they are good to get you out of trouble but some repair shops won't repair a temporary plug so be prepared to replace the tyre. I also carry slime which I try first.

Attleborough

I swear by Stop and Go standard tyre repair ,with an airman compressor.I have used it numerous times ,its a bit bulky but i can plug and reinflate a tyre in about 5 minutes ,rather than waiting an hour or more for breakdown service.

Can’t remember it’s name but mine is a gun and mushroom type. Punch in a metal spike with the applicator, put mushroom in and attach gun. Pump gun handle toll mushroom goes into hole then twist and turn out.

Saved me and friends many times.
