What are your thoughts on the new honda hornet 750, I didn't like the look when It was launched but it's grown on me especially the specs seem alot better than the xsr700 mt07 which I was considering getting, even the suspension is alot better then Yamaha's range and it's cheaper

I sat on one a couple of weeks ago at a dealer in Glasgow, I’m not in the market for a new bike, but if I was, I’d be very tempted. I think it looks great, it’s quite compact, and if you’re a bit of a short-arse like me, you’ll find it very comfortable.

Were you able to take one out for a spin? I was back in the dealers today picking up some parts, there was lots of people looking at the display model. I think they’ll be popular.

How does it compare to the Ducati Monster price-wise? Although broadly similar, the Duc has more power (well it is 900cc too) and is much lighter, 50lbs+.

I'm not keen on the look of it, if I had the money I'd go for the hornet.

Call me a traditionalist but it upsets me that it's not an inline 4.

The engine is half the character of the bike

Totally agree but I know it's hard to meet emissions standards these days with inline fours, the reason the new r7 is a twin and the sports bike category I believe will be all twins next year so I think that may be a reason to get the new cb650r

I know which is a shame. All my bikes have been inline 4 and they are great engines

I'm really looking at the cb650r now just because it's probably the last inline four from honda

I test rode a Trident 660 and also a Honda CB650R...heart said Trident but mind says CB650R. My 6'3" frame felt a lot comfortable on the CB650R compared to the Trident....

Still contemplating which one to go for......
