"I know they're fast and loud! Haven't had one myself. I do know that they are up near the top of the shopping list for bike thieves, so depending where you live that's worth considering " Thanks appreciate that

"I was riding it on my training and it was very enjoyable. Had SV650 as first big bike and in my opinion MT07 feels more comfortable." Thanks, yeah I had the sv650 as my first big bike too. After being off a bike for a while don't really want to jump on something big to get back into the swing of things again.

"Evening all Been off a bike for maybe around 9yrs. Had a 2007 sv650 and 2005 R1 before I stopped riding. I really want another bike now and looking at the MT07, anyone got one who know much about them? Are they a decent bike?" I recently done my test on a mt07 and i really enjoyed it seat wasn't well padded but apart from that I loved it I also might get one or the xsr700 as it's the same engine

"I have a Mt09sp Been riding for nearly 40 yrs Had so many bikes over the years Got the mt and i gota say amazing bike The mt07 is basically the same just smaller engine Lots of fun to be had on these bikes Handles so well Go book a test ride I would personally get the Mt09sp You have 4 power modes so you can start slowly and work your way up the power bands " Went to my local yamaha dealer yesterday, booked a test ride for a couple of weeks time. Got it for 2hrs as well.

"I think if you have had an R1 you may find the MT07 slightly underwhelming The Triumph 765 has a lot more engine whilst still being a naked middleweight or the KTM 890 Doesn't take long to get back up yo speed after a break just take it steady until the miles build up again " That's what I thought, but like I say it's been a while. Sat on a new R1 yesterday and hate to admit it I didn't feel comfortable on it. Now prefer the more upright position. Makes me feel sick saying that lmao

On my second one now, been to to Italy and the Pyrenees on it no bother! Read any road test. They all sing it’s praises.

I just wanted something good and maybe do a bit of euro riding. I need my licence for my job so definitely not interested in anything too quick. Thanks for you feedback.

" I'd try the Tracer 700 or 900. Much better for touring, if it must be a Yamaha. Suzuki GSX-S1000F also one worth looking at and Kawasaki Z1000F.

Feels a lot lighter and more nimble than the SV when you’re riding it though.
