Near Wells

Honda RVF400 (NC35) had it for 12 years, won lots races on it and was lovely to ride, just starting it upband hearing the sound used to get me excited.

Unfortunately, I couldn't get the engine parts so used second hand ones and they wouldn't last so it became unreliable. I got fed up with it and sold it.

I definitely regret that and miss it lots

My rd 250 . Painted very badly in bright orange and white. It broke down on a cold morning on the way from work outside a nice house. The lady in the drive way said her husband had just left for work but I was welcome to come inside and warm my bones. I miss that bike

A Lambretta SX200 that I brought for £60 when a teenager. My mates kept theirs and they're £10k now!

A 2006 ZX6R. I probably did 40 track days on it and it never missed a beat. Only sold it after getting mullered on the straights by lotre bikes at Le Mans.

My last bike I owned, a 2009 Fireblade. Sold it 7 years ago after leaving wife as had nowhere to keep it. Flogged trailer, tyre warners, the lot.

Never really missed any other bikes/scooters tbh

FS1E, one of the last they made. Had the yellow for gaiters and slightly different graphics. Sold it for about £400. Cheapest I've seen a similar one for is about 2K.

They go for silly money these days. Mention 2 stroke and add 2grand to the price!

I know, looked at all the old 125 two strokes that were popular when I was 17. TZR, NSR, AR etc, all silly money. Did get offered a frame a. Ns several boxes of parts that I'm told is a complete Aprilia Europa for £750

Passed test and sold on to purchase a 400 Superdream.

Looking at prices now particularly for small bikes I definitely made a boo boo, however....Lincolnshire to North Yorkshire as a weekly commute swayed my decision.

Shoreham Bi Sea

A CBR400RR NC29

Got it really cheap as a non runner

‘A Mecanic has looked at it and it’s broken’ so I low balled them with cash they wanted 500 I pulled out 300 in 50’s and said I will take it now they said no I said fine walked away and got back in my van and he came over and said ok.

I bought a battery and a set of plugs and the special Honda spark plug spanner some fresh fuel and she started got a mot and she was such a great road bike the rear tyre was rolling of the edge

I had a ZX12R, absolutely Bonkers, just pulled and pulled. Left black lines if you pushed hard out of corners. I rode it in the Pyrenees and wore a new rear tyre to the canvas in 1300 miles

Wish I still had it but I now have a BMW R1250GS which is a better bike all round

If I would have kept it then maybe there wouldn't have been a gap of over 30 years till I got my next bike.

MZ ETZ 250. Easy starter in sub zero temperatures, quick enough to stay with rush hour traffic, light and easy to filter, cheap insurance, easy to maintain etc. It was a jack of all trades master of none.
