Hi Guys.

How do the cops in France treat bikers.

I have been a few times and never even seen a cop but I was mainly just passing through to Spain and on the toll roads.

This time I will be touring France and staying off the toll roads.

I have heard some stories of guys getting fined for no reflective stickers on helmets and no gloves.

Bikes being impounded for not having your log book with you.

Is this just bull, or are the cops out for non French bikers?

In my experience pre brexshit bikers were treated fairly and made to feel welcome in small towns and villages, beware mobile speed traps there are plenty .

Read the laws and stick to them. We put reflective tape on our helmets and carried Hi Viv under the cargo net. If you are within the law all will be goo. If you try to pull the wool over their eyes you reap the rewards. And why would anyone ride without gloves or protection is beyond believe

We're touring thru France to get to Spain and as said above if you comply to their laws like helmet stickers etc all is good.
