Got a puncture in new rear tyre, needed a new front for impending MOT. 2 new tyres and a few odds and ends later I pick up the freshly MOT'd bandit.....2 days later get a hole straight through the radiator!!!!!!!!

Sorry...just wanted to tell someone

The first thing I put on my bandit when I bought it 12 years ago was a rad guard, and also a fender extender....

I also had the same with a brand new rear tyre, screw into it 3 days after fitting, got it repaired and still using it now, if they are done properly there's no problem..

When I got my first bike I was firmly against puncture repairs. When I went to get new rubber put on the rear I found out I had purchased it with a repaired rear and been riding it the whole time. It it's a tubeless tyre and so long as its not on the wall then a proper repair will have a large contact patch forcing the repair to press against the carcus of the tyre. They physics of it are sound and I totally agree now that a properly done repair is fine. I would only not bother if the cost of the repair is worth more than the remaining rubber. If someone offered me a puctured rear with 10 miles on it I take it in a heartbeat though.
