Nope, I ride for pleasure and freezing your bits off, risking sliding off on the ice and getting your pride and joy covered in salt and dirt is just not for me. My bike is SORN and wrapped up in my garage

Yes all year until retired last year, loved it but hated the constant cleaning very least was rinsing bike down with cold water to stop the salt getting a grip.

With good gear I never feel the cold, unlike 40 years ago in Glasgow with terrible kit and visor freezing shut, oh not so happy days.

Use silicone spray and wash down and theres no harm.i used to have a laverda jota in my 20's used all year .it looked good all the time.just 5 mins washdown...sorted.

The only days i dont like riding are sunny ones in winter as i struggle to see.so man with the hat and grannies are probably worse.with the low sun.

Ours are all year round as long as the roads are dry ..slightly fair weather riders .

We don’t mind the cold but not fans of the wet,ice or snow ! .

The salt doesn’t worry us ,both bikes coated in ACF50 ,washed & air dried on return.Life’s to short to only have riding smiles for a few months a year

Taken advantage of the dry weather over the weekend to take my Tiger out and about in Cornwall.

Smile inducing

Ride all your given the opportunity. Good coat of ACF and a rinse down if it's been a damp run with salt spray, dry off with a pet drier. Not had any issues so far. Wouldn't deliberately set out in snow on the GS, but have been caught out a few times. Bike pretty much handles anything you point it at though so not gonna restrict myself to the two dry weeks in August for riding.

No, not for many many years.

The minute I see the first flashing amber lights of a gritter the bike is put into hibernation.

I’ll take mine out occasionally when it’s dry, don’t mind the cold too much. That’s what thick socks and winter gloves are for

Thinking of putting heated grips on it soon though too

Found out brakes don't work in snow, good job I have size 13 feet to slow me down.

I ride all year round, even now. In the right kit it's fine, and the bike gets a good coating of ACF50 at the beginning of every winter and regularly deep cleaned. So although my bike runs year round it holds up really well in this weather

I'm a complete fair weather rider,I get no pleasure pootling around in the dodgy damp cold winter months.Do some winter maintenance to the bikes, suspension linkages, brakes etc then be ready to tear up the B roads next season.

Keep'er lit

Road salts the least of my concern, I live 50m from the sea - constant battle all year round, ACF50 seems to be keeping it at bay

I've just checked the weather for tomorrow and it looks like I might be out in the afternoon.

I think that’s what we have today. Let the air warm a little and ride at lunch!
