So we are all booked and will be ready to go on Thursday morning for 10 days/nights and approximately 1800 miles.

Anyone else going or done the route this year?

We are sure we will and have some decent waterproofs so have a good chance of that

If you have any questions or concerns about the route or areas then feel free to ask me. Live on the route and travel most of it daily for work.

We are hoping to do it next year so we may very well do that. Thanks.

I did this last August.

Went solo and absolutely loved it.

I went anti clockwise around the route. Scenery is amazing.

Have a great time and stay safe.

Ps.

Be mindful of camper vans...

Yeah no problem. If your planning a hotel or night to break up the journey i suggest you book soon as. I can suggest a few nice places if you have a look at how you want to get round it. Ullapool is very fun also

Thanks, will bear that in mind

We are doing it over ten days/nights, breaking up the journey to and from Inverness with stops in Dumfries on the way up and Edinburgh on the way back. Also having a night on Skye while we are on the way round.

Edinburgh

Now that we're into September, you'll find some places starting to close for the winter.

Worth planning/checking your lunch stops in advance.
