S10, gen1/gen2

So in the market for a new used bike.

Anyone currently or previously owned either gen1/ 2 Super Tenere?

Advice and opinions? Have never ridden one.

Had one inbetween two FJRs.

All day comfort as good if not better than a GS.

Motor's a little underwhelming on the gen1.

The gen2 is much better and has cruise control too if that's important to you.

Both gens are very capable and underrated.

My mate had 90k on his and has just bought his third.

Most have commented same about upgraded/ refined Gen2..

Did you find the Gen2 (es model) had same suspension qualities as the fjr?

Had an FJR-AE after the S10 and have to say both were very good.

The S10 was very supple and well damped on stock shocks and as good as the 1250GS-Exclusive I have now in that respect.

I did have it remapped and a full Arrow de cat exhaust and it went very well indeed.
