Where the streets have no name

Hi, ladies and gents, I need some advice. I am planning a three days tour in Wales on next week:

Day 1, from Birmingham to Aberystwyth (hotel already booked). Any good place/route/restaurant to visit in the way?

Day 2, riding to the South following the coastline. Destination: no idea. Any nice place to spend the 2nd night?

Day 3, way back to West Midlands, maybe through Brecon Beacon National Park. Again, any interesting point to visit?

And of course, this being a swinging site, if anyone in the way wants to say "Hello" to a lonely soul pursuing the horizon, you know where to find me...

Indecently yours, Adrian xx

Hi if you going from Birmingham to Aberystwyth I would recommend trying the Elan Valley on the way there, from Rhayader to Devils Bridge. If you follow National Cycle Route 81 its a great ride.

At Devils Bridge there is a little cafe at Woodlands Caravan park that welcomes bikers.

In Aberystwyth we would recommend Bottle and Barrel on Cambrian Place, very nice craft ale bar!

Let us know how you go on.

Yes Crickhowell is a good base in the Brecon Becons.

Plenty to do and see, we're there in August.

Enjoy!

Thanks mate. In your opinion, is the National Cycle Route 81 in Elan Valley a safe road for a touring motorbike (Paneuropean)?

I worried a bit about this, but smooth roads and enough room. I did it on a Tiger 800

After doing Elan Valley - head to Builth Wells, take the back road to Brecon it’s a stunning road, then you can choose any roads around the Beacons - I can definitely recommend going up and over Gospel Pass one of my favourite routes

Where the streets have no name

I finished the touring. An amazing experience.

Outstanding sites:

- A44, with the lovely Eardisland and Devil's Bridge

- Aberystwyth (I spent 1 hour seated on a bench, just watching the sunset and indulging myself in the sea's scent).

- A487, with some extraordinary views of the sea and lunch in St David.

- A40, particularly the woodlands.

Thanks folks for your suggestions
