Hi subject probably been covered before.

Zero demonstrators in Aberdeen. Today took one for a run and what a hooligan it was in sports mode. Then street mode gentle bumble round town.

Still need more range and way more charging points.

Anybody had a we blast on the electric bikes

Was the rear tyre standard or their own design, it is the life of the rear tyres which is also a concern for the faster electric bikes.

An electric commuter would suit me well, as the range would not be an issue.

220 kg’s

140 miles on street mode possible.

Sports mode no regeneration full on battery power and hanging on for dear life under acceleration.

Fast charge one hour.

Loved it but still changing too slow and not enough charging points.

Tyre will be ripped to bits if on sports mode I guess.

£5000 for new battery!!!!!!!

Aye they had small ones at £10k.

Then there’s the cheaply priced Chinese versions!

I have a Zero S and absolutely love it. The instant power is addictive. Most of the time I ride it in eco mode, but pop it into sport mode for fast overtakes. I thought that I would miss the smell and noise of a petrol, but you soon forget that. I really like the noise that the motor makes. There are limitations on range and charging for sure, and they are not for everyone. In an ideal world I would have an electric bike that could do 150 miles, recharge in 20 minutes, and cost less than 15k. But I figured that I could end up waiting years for something like that, so pulled the trigger and got mine last year. I bought an ex-demo bike with charge tank fitted for just under 10k, trading in a BMW F650GS. None of the jap 4 have brought out anything yet, BMW and Triumph are still at the stage of releasing artists impressions of what their bikes will likely look like. The main sticking points are range and charging times. With a car you can put batteries under the floor and get loads of them in there. For the bike you are constrained by the smaller space. I still go on longish rides, 200 miles+ but have to plan where to stop so that I can charge it up.

I got mine because I love gadgets and shiny toys, plus I like being an early adopter. Plus I can charge it for free at work which is nice. I do find that every time I stop at a charger I get bombarded with questions: is that electric?, how fast is it, what's the range, how much does it cost etc
