"Never ridden a Harley or any other American cruiser/chop (or Jap/Euro one). As a sports bike ride rider, am I missing something? I’ve sat on a few at shows but never got out on the road" A couple of years ago, i lost interest in hooning aroind the countryside. 4 speed triples a sprint st and many supermoto's in the last few years. Rather than pack it in, i decided to go down a route i never thought of or was interested in, cruisers. So i bought a Harley. It took a good 18 months to get used to, because i had to learn how to ride a low slow cruiser so it re ignited my interest in riding. I am getting too old to try and plant myself in the scenery and i find it very relaxing cruising around looking at the scenery. The wife bought me a Speed Triple R in 2019 for my birthday, she likes the speed. I found myself using the Harley more, so the R was sold.

" I must admit I make more noise (moans and grumbles) getting off the bike than the bike itself. Never enjoyed a riding a naked (other than a MV Dragstar) so have been looking at classic bikes (pre 1960), but I’ll go and see if I can get a ride of Harley. Just need to see how it would cope with the twisties here in Wales

It's a chilled out way to ride that some guys can't adapt too but a lot love it because it's different. The social side is a bonus too. Good luck and enjoy.
