I recently sold my beloved Bandit and treated myself to a BMW RT. I’m collecting it during the week and can’t wait. I’m giddy as fuck, brings back memories of how Christmas Eve was as a young lad. Safe riding to all on here. Xx

Oh fucking lush , im well jeal, had an early rt 80 as owner, rode an r850 rt as courier, (apart from the top end speed there wasnt a lot to discern , ront suspension didnt dive at all under heavy braking , but the old rt was a brilliant handling bike in its own right. Many happy miles toncome fir you i hope.

I've been looking online for one for ages, have enquired about 3 recently only to find they've been sold, seems like the second hand market is picking up.

Thanks all, yeah the market over here in Ireland is gone to shit since Brexit, second hand are going for stupid money now. I was extremely lucky that a friend is buying new so sold me the RT at a very good price.

Was in the market for a BMW R9T Pure after test riding one for a day.

Then I tried to insure it. 2k a year on a 5000 mile PA limit.

No fucking way

Can't wait to pick it up and get out on it. Just need to sort out the insurance and tax. It's going to be a learning curve as it's a lot bigger than my last one and I've not ridden for quite a while so I'm a bit apprehensive.

Thanks, the journey home was mainly motorway and dual carriageway but I was impressed by how easy the ride was so I'm looking forward to getting out on some local twisty roads and see how it goes.

Yes bloody typical especially when I've a couple of days off! I bet the sun cracks the ground when I'm back at work and can't get out

Congrats _edyaris, they are some bike alright. I live up the mountains so I’m surrounded by lovely twisty roads which I’m loving, a total different bike to ride compared to what I was used to. I haven’t been on the motorways yet but I’m sure it’s just as good. I was very apprehensive myself because of its sheer size but not an issue. Happy and safe riding to all
