E10 in our petrol our thoughts people?

Little I know about it it makes more water in combustion.

Most vehicles pre 2000 it chews on carbs ,rubber etc.

Mpg slightly poorer.

Clear more land to grow the crops to make ethanol.

Goes off , sour in 30 days.

Yep, if you have a carburetted machine I think it will need some fettling to run correctly.

Injector seals will be a prime candidate for rotting, and you would probably be best drain the tank if you are laying the bike up for a set period of time.

That said avgas is still readily available

If you google E10 compatibility motorcycles, you'll find some guidance around which pre 2010 bikes can run on E10.

Failing that your main UK manufacturer should be able to advise.

Some of the bike specific forums have done their checks for you.

Near Wells

All my bikes have carburettors. I'm not fussy, I usually drain or run the fuel out if I'm not going to use it for a while.

I put a lead additive in the Bonnie but the Transalp seems to run on anything.

It’s just crap fuel and I’m now running two of my special (home built) turbo bikes on avgas. I only pay £1.40 litre for it so makes sense.
