Has anybody had a hyosung?

I’ve just bought a GT650R which so far has surprised me, quite pleasantly, with how it rides.

Just wondered if anyone has any experience with them long term

They are made from Suzuki's left overs bin. Not bad bike as long as you look after them and keep dry stored.

Don't know anyone that's owned them longer than 6 months but I think if you're happy to work on your bike every now and then and maintain it well, you'll be fine.

I enjoy tinkering so that will be fine then and it lives underground, warm and dry through the winter.

Fingers crossed it’s half decent then

Should be ok, I don’t think there’s any really bad bikes now.

.....no......

Most brands like them have come a fairly long way in my opinion, we didn't like jap bikes at first but look now....

Even if it's shite you will learn a few tricks when you put it back together

An owner did get down Gloomies on one on a regular basis. It covered 40K miles commuting all year round. Seemed to work well enough as a commuter.

Exactly this

I bought a BMW and totally regret not buying a Japanese bike.

In the stable I have a GV650 Aquila

Cracking bike and pretty surprising for a custom style!

Finish is pretty good, not far behind the big boys, better in some areas and has a degree of pedigree.

Brand snobbery is still quite rife in bikes and it needs to be overcome as the old school are saving pennies and resting on their laurels and other eastern makers are catching up quick.

It’s happened before and will again.

Try one, own one, then consider commenting before coming out with the standard slag pish!

Well I’ve just had the head set bearings changed and a service done... my god, it’s an amazing machine!

I’m genuinely impressed.

The guy at the garage that rode it after the work had been done even commented on how impressed he was with it and said he’d take one of them over an SV 650 anyday!

Daughter owned one, I told her to stay away but price got the better of her. 6 month down the line the electrics disintegrated, lost her money when she had to sell, as cost of repairs were crazy. Take the gamble you pay the price
