Not ridden a gsxr for years but from what I recall not a problem. Yes the BMW s1000rr has a narrow hard seat. I have a 19 spor and I'm 5'-7" Best thing is go and sit on them both and try a test ride if you can.

Being an F4 rider and loyal to MV, I would point in that direction

But to answer your question go for the s1000rr

an amazing bike

100 mile mental blast and the BMW has it.

All day rideability, practicality and less trouble the Suzi has it. Had both and don't think the extra money for the BMW is justified on average roads. For every day use a GSXR takes it for me

Hi, not had a gsxr for many years but had a couple of S1000, one set up for the track and another for the road. Best bike ever. I am also pretty short so customised the seat - eBay and then cut the foam. You can also drop the front forks a little but need to be very careful you know what you are doing.

GSXR for me, had two and loved them. Feel a bit of a traitor as I have a BMW now (GS though) I’m actually thinking of buying another Gixxer to run alongside the GS.
