Are riders bad pillions?

I find it very difficult to be a pillion on a motorbike even though i have been riding motorbikes for many years. If i ever need a lift and i m on the back i never feel comfortable! How do you all that ride feel as pillions?

Totally depends on the rider. I’ve had full licence since I was 21 and only felt happy as pillion with a couple of riders. The same thing applies to pillion riders bad one can make a journey a nightmare

Definitely prefer being at the front but it's all a matter of trust. A good rider makes the pillion feel relaxed not tense

Yes.

I got a lift back to the bike at brands from a copper, as I had dropped my key and it had been handed into them.

Safe to say I hate being a pillion.

Think it depends on how much you trust the rider.

Some riders I'm very at ease being a pillion and others I think they'll kill me. Even though, both ride well.

Was only one mate I’d sit behind, sat on behind on an old z650, scraped the pegs an exhaust in the first few corners heading to road racing, then a tank slapper passing a car on way home gave me plenty of confidence, unfortunately he lost his life a few years later

I’d say technically good pillions because you know how to position yourself for bends etc. Bad pillion as you’d rather be riding. Only been a pillion twice and they were only get get lifts back from the mechanics. Not for me.
