Track day crash

Near Wells

I've raced bikes for years, don't do to bad usually. Haven't raced at all this year,so I'd thought I would enter a track day.

A gorgeous sunny day, and I'm going OK. Lost the front end, went over the handlebars and slid and rolled for ages before hitting the air fence.

Not sure why it happened , but I'm aching now and I've lost lots of skin on my arms. Don't suppose I'll be wearing any skimpy dresses anytime soon now

I hope you heal quickly and are OK. Road rash is he.

I got wiped off my bike a few years ago. Rag dolled for ages before narrowly missing a concrete post. Thank God for the leathers and helmet, but even now your brief description makes me shudder.

No, RST's. Had them around 5 years and they've had a couple of repairs. They look well worn out now, time for a new set I think.

I'm not too bad, arms still sore and wrists swollen. Luckily I wear an air jacket and I think that saved a lot.

Plus my arm was caught under the bike for a short while, I was trying to get it out as I was sliding as the burns were hurting. I slid and rolled for what seemed like a long time.

I race too. It’s been a bad year. Done one trackday and one race meeting. Shouldn’t have gone racing as bike rusty.

Got punted onto grass at Chris curve in qualifying then in race 3 binned it on hall bends. Didn’t bother going out for race 4

My favourite track!! Lol. Dropped the R1 at Mansfield, flags out and I rolled off instead of driving through, front end tucked. Bollocks.

Excellent, I'm assuming the meeting you have left is at Cadwell in October? I would have been at Oulton this weekend but went to Castle Combe instead it's a lot closer.

Im at donnington this weekend for the BSB, I'm sure I'll be picking up some of the support classes out the gravel.

this is what happpened to me in italy. i was out cold under the bike and the fuel tank cracked open so i was on fire as well.

had to get tattoos after i finished racing to try and cover the burns.

yeah it was cadwell got 4 more class wins taking him to the championship
