Yep it's been rescheduled along with the Yorkshire Pudding Rally as much as I want to go I think I will give it a miss this year the way things are. Save the money and maybe do one in Europe next year if things calmed down by then.

You don’t have to be a commuter rider not to heard of Farm yard.

What about a tourer rider, track rider etc

I found that msg, a little offbeat there, might be the way I read it.

The farm yard is a large rally, connected with MAG who organise it, they do other rally’s called Yorkshire pudding/Stormin the castle few others which I haven’t been too.

You buy a ticket you pitch a tent, there’s some shops/stalls, bands etc, good weekend you may want to try it

Must have changed since I went a few years ago as it used to be organised and run by Yorkshire Mag. Everything has changed over the years as did farmyard, used to be the best rally of the year till it went festival like

Its organised on behalf of Mag by another company. Simply so that the liabilities don't lie with mag then.

Also agree. Its got bigger and bigger and worse and worse, or better and better, depending on your perspective.

I go every few years, just to check in, but prefer the much smaller rallies.

Druids MCC do one the same weekend called the poser which has a couple of hundred people and is equally Brill

Farmyard is on the list of things to do this year tho. Going to get tickets soon x

Have you seen the site conditions for Yorkshire Pudding? expect the same will apply to Farmyard

So, our conditions of entry for 2020 are as follows:

As much as you may want to party and we want to see you please do not put yourself or others at risk, it is not worth it.

PLEASE ONLY ATTEND IF YOU AGREE TO ADHERE STRICTLY TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:

1. As a condition of our licence and out of respect to the local community…

…NO ONE IS TO LEAVE SITE FOR THE DURATION OF THE EVENT – IF YOU LEAVE THE EVENT YOU WILL NOT BE PERMITTED BACK IN – THIS MEANS THERE IS NO DROP OFF AREA AND NO ONE WILL BE ALLOWED OUT TO COLLECT ANYTHING OR ANYONE FROM AN AWAITING VEHICLE. THERE IS ZERO FLEXIBILITY ON THIS CONDITION (EXCEPT FOR EMERGENCIES).

• NO CARS (EXCEPT BLUE BADGE HOLDERS) • NO PEDESTRIANS • NO EXCUSES

2. You agree for your contact details to be shared with NHS Test & Trace if so required

3. You agree to adhere to the relevant social distancing measures applicable

4. You will observe and obey the relevant signage around the entire site

5. You will dispose of any item that you have been in contact with in a designated refuse point (i.e. PPE, disposable glasses, drinks cans etc.)

6. You will not pass or share items with persons outside of your family group or bubble

7. You will apply a face covering when required to do so (such as when entering a trade stall or any other required area)

8. You will use the sanitiser and hand washing stations when and wherever applicable

9. Respect the request of any marshals (they are not the fun-police, they are mostly volunteers, many of whom have purchased a ticket. They have a job to do in difficult and unusual circumstances, please don’t make it any harder for them)

10. Raise any complaints or concerns immediately with a marshal or event control

11. You will at all times maintain a common-sense approach to yourself and your surroundings

12. Moderate your personal alcohol intake and be mindful of those doing so around you

13. THIS IS A PRE-BOOK TICKET ONLY EVENT – THERE WILL BE ABSOLUTELY NO TICKETS ON THE GATE SO PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO ENTER THE SITE WITHOUT ONE

WE ASK YOU TO FURTHER CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING ADVISORIES:

1. If you are travelling with family member or your bubble could you all try and arrive together

2. You are welcome to bring your own alcohol but please only bring your own. We will be selling slabs of lager, bitter and cider as well as our usual offering of drinks in our main bar.

3. If a family member or part of your bubble is failing to observe the guidelines please consider informing them of the consequences of their actions on your group and potentially the event.

4. Wherever possible please erect your tent with your family group or bubble (please maintain a suitable distance and observe fire breaks)

5. Bring your own chair as they will not be available this year

So that’s 2 chairs 1 tent, industrial quantities of alcohol ( sanitising purposes only you know...) Sleeping bags, and air bed ...Oh dear There’s no room for her shoes ??

Anyone ever been to Perverts in Leather? I always heard good reports of that.

Does “I’ve see you guys here every year and your FIT” sound ok.... then a nice comment for the wife!!

Lancashire

Had a brilliant weekend at Yorkshire pudding rally. The only downside was coming home without my phone. Not sure if it was lost or stolen, a few tents in the corner I was camping in got broken into and phones stolen. So if you're going to farmyard keep your valuables safe.

This wasnt my first festival but it was my first rally and I thought the atmosphere was great even with social distancing and max of 6 people per bubble/group. The bands that I saw were really good. 18 cans for £20 was a cheap enough too.

Great value for £25

I was told by a MAG rep that the Farmyard rally going ahead depended on how successful the pudding rally was with social distancing etc. Just prior to leaving I went to see if my phone had been handed in one last time and was told that they were really happy that everyone had done everything asked of them so the farmyard will definitely be going ahead.

Can't wait, now I've broken my duck I'm hooked.

Hope to see some of you there

Xx

That be that then.....

*** IT IS WITH THE GREATEST OF REGRETS THAT WE HAVE TO INFORM YOU THAT FARMYARD PARTY 2020 IS CANCELLED FOR REASONS BEYOND OUR CONTROL ***

Late this afternoon (Monday 7th Sept) we received a telephone call from Ryedale District Council Licencing Dept. informing us that due to the recent increase in the R (infection) rate in the Ryedale area, their SAG (Safety Advisory Group) in conjunction with the Regional Director of Public Health, have regrettably withdrawn support for this year's Farmyard Party. Whilst they are only there in an advisory role we fully respect their decision and it would be wholly irresponsible of us to proceed without their full support. As a result of this decision our Event Liability Insurance is no longer valid which automatically puts an immediate halt to the event.

We realise this will come as a huge disappointment to many of you, it certainly has to us, but our hands are tied, we need to preserve the longer-term future of our events and we hope that you support us in this decision, and will continue to support us in the years to come.

A huge thanks again from all of us and we look forward to seeing you in a field in 2021, till then stay safe.

Please allow us a few days to respond to any questions as we have a lot of traders, caterers, bands etc. to notify in the meantime.

We will make a full statement over the next few days when the written notification has come through from Ryedale District Council.

WHAT CAN I DO WITH MY FARMYARD PARTY 2020 TICKET(S)…

1. Simply keep your existing ticket(s) (including upgraded tickets) and use them for Farmyard Party 2021 (Provisional dates 18th – 20th June 2021) – new ticket(s) will not be issued, your 2020 ones will be valid

2. Donate the ticket cost to MAG – please email enquiries@mapevents.co.uk with your ticket numbers to notify us of this intention OR return your tickets to the PO Box*below with DONATED written on the back

3. If tickets were purchased from a MAG REP or one of our OUTLETS/SHOPS:

Return them to the PO Box*below for a refund** – Please enclose a note or write on the back of one of the tickets your name, sort code, bank account number and a contact phone number

4. If tickets were purchased ONLINE VIA OUR WEBSITE with a debit or credit card or with a cheque via the PO Box:

Return them to the PO Box*below for a refund** (excludes booking fee(s), these are retained by our 3rd party booking agent)

* MAP EVENTS, PO Box 247, Beverley, HU17 6BB, please write your contact number on the back of one of the tickets.

**REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED FOR ANY TICKETS RETURNED TO THE PO BOX BEFORE 31st OCTOBER 2020.

Yep sad thing to happen but it's no surprise really, that was part of my reason for not getting a ticket this year. It's such a shame and I do hope everything is back to normal next year with all the food and stall holder's still in business after theses very difficult low income times. It has to have been hard on MAG to as they have lost all there money make venus this year too.

Cant say im a fan of the farmyard, so not too bothered. Used to be ok 20 years or so ago, but now just feels like a massive money grabbing exercise. I would rather put my money in the hands of smaller grass roots clubs, although nowadays, with patch clubs being allowed to run amok, I bork at funding those as well.

Im probably just going to fuck off to a field on my own and sulk

I would have thought a bike rally called "perverts in leather" (google "perverts in leather rally") would have been more the style of fab bikers rather than the farmyard......
