Is a dream bike not meant to be something completely unattainable?? For me a honda rcv213 is just that. Partly because there isn't any for sale at the moment, but mostly because it costs over 100 grand. All the people saying a 916 is the dream bike.. just go and buy one then. Theres plenty out there.

Not everyone can afford their dream bike, I've never had new, I've either built or bought cheap.

Not to mention a lot of our dream bikes aren't good if we use them day to day, try commuting daily on a s1000rr, if you only have the stable for one I'd rather have a adv bike or big scoot

That would still be in my dream garage.

Its proof that when you get the design of something spot on that it will stand the test of time unchanged.

The Japanese applied the K.I.S.S principle with great effect.

Wow, with that combination the women on here would fight over it and you would not get it back until it breaks. Unless of course you rubber mounted the engine.

There is a company in OZ that produce billet casings and barrels that can convert an RGV 250 and Aprilia RS 250 into a a 500cc.

As you can imagine you won't get much change £20,000 for the engine alone.

There has been several people that have offered to buy the designs and moulds for casting the V1000.

It seems John's wife and family are reluctant to let anyone have the designs.

There was a guy years ago the built a pretty convincing copy of a V1000 using a Suzuki SV1000.

The new Tesi is cracking. Like the Brittain V1000 the engineering is somewhat left field from the conventional.

Not sure about a dream bike, I love what I can afford that suits my riding. Currently riding an MT-09 and don't see myself changing it in the near future, upgrade the suspension sure but not replacing it. I wouldn't mind complimenting it with someone I can take off-road though, not moto-cross style but something more like a Royal Enfield Himalayan. Did a off-road day on one and was real fun to just be able to keep on riding

Triton 650 .. Slimline featherbed frame with T120R engine coupled to a Quaife 5 speed box .. A friend of mine had one in the early eighties .. I could have bought it for 400 quid .. Not only did it look good lent against a wall ( no side stand ) it smelt of burning oil .. it was a proper old motorbike if you know what I mean ... Very fond memories of that bike .. would love a go today .
